How to Use

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, and old sealant.

Clean non-porous surfaces with a suitable solvent like DOWSIL™ R-40 Cleaner.

Mechanically clean porous surfaces (e.g., brick or wood).

Use masking tape for clean edges and remove after tooling.

Primer is usually not required, but always test first.

Use a backer rod to control joint depth and avoid three-sided adhesion.

Tool the sealant within 5 minutes for a smooth finish.

Clean uncured sealant with DOWSIL™ R-40; cured material may need mechanical removal.
