Recommended For:

Providing comfort heating in various indoor spaces such as bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.

Not Recommended For:
Installation beneath carpet, linoleum, solid hardwood, rubber, or parquet flooring.
Exterior applications.
Installation in, on, or under walls, or inside closets.
Use of sharp or power tools to clean grout lines.
Overlapping, crossing, cutting, shortening, or modifying the heating wire.
Using the sheath of the device as a grounding conductor; it must be bonded to the ground.
Exceeding a total combined R-value of all floor covering layers over Mapeheat Mesh of R-1.5.
Covering expansion joints or using over cracks or movement joints subject to out-of-plane movement, or where in-plane movement exceeds 3 mm.
Use over substrates containing asbestos, plank wood flooring, presswood, particleboard, chipboard, pressure- or oil-treated plywood, Lauan, Masonite, self-stick tile, laminate, metal, fiberglass, or similar dimensionally unstable materials.
Submerged applications or floors subject to standing water.
Use on bituminous substrates.
Use on highly flammable material.
